About
Music Unbound
Music Unbound is a cultural initiative working at the intersection of artistic practice, cultural research, and inclusive methodologies.
We develop interdisciplinary music projects – from performances and laboratories to media formats and research programmes – that bring together professional artists, researchers, and community knowledge-bearers.
Our work treats music not only as performance, but as a form of cultural knowledge: something transmitted, negotiated, and reinterpreted through collaboration between tradition, contemporary practice, and scholarship.
Our mission is to create ethical, research-informed artistic environments where living musical traditions, contemporary creativity, and diverse bodies of knowledge can meet on equal terms.
We build frameworks in which participation is possible across different levels of training, experience, and ability, and where inclusion operates not as outreach or therapy, but as a structural principle of cultural production.
Through this approach, we expand pathways into authorship, performance, and research, and broaden who is recognised as a cultural contributor in professional artistic ecosystems.
